Quartet FS: Tradition is not enough for the new product control challenges

As regulatory reforms accelerate from concepts to a tangible reality, the financial sector is now recognising product control as playing a central role in the end-to-end trading process. The lessons from the past are clear. When Lehman Brothers fell in 2008, poor product control was cited as a major factor, so it’s inevitable that this element of trading activity is firmly in the limelight. One result of the increased scrutiny from regulatory bodies is that product control must address a much broader range of issues.
