The purpose of this report is to accelerate users’ understanding of the many new products and practices based on Hadoop technologies that have emerged in recent years. TDWI assumes that Hadoop usage will become
mainstream in coming years. This report explains ways that Hadoop can be integrated with mature implementations for business intelligence, data warehousing, data management, and analytics.

In this report, the term “Hadoop” refers to the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) as well
