New! Take Part In a Global Survey By Chartis - Preparing for MAD II
Posted: 4 November 2015 | Source: Chartis
The potential manipulation of markets has become a key concern for governments, financial institutions and regulators. The two cornerstones of regulation in this area are MAD and MiFID. Chartis and SunGard have established a research initiative to determine the industry’s level of preparedness in the face of these challenges, including current states of readiness and how firms think this will change compliance norms in future.
This survey is the first of two and focuses on MAD II: the extension to the industry-wide implementation of the 2003 Market Abuse Directive. With the July 2016 deadline just around the corner, many firms are rushing to establish appropriate reporting and monitoring in order to achieve MAD II compliance. It includes extensions of the definitions of insider dealing and market manipulation, amended regimes for SMEs, and the introduction of an obligation for exchange of information and co-operation between financial and commodity regulators.
The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. You may wish to share this survey with an appropriate colleague or functional area e.g. Information, Security, Technology, Risk, Cyber, Fraud etc. In return for your participation, we will send you a FREE copy of the survey results and access to other selected Chartis content (www.chartis-research.com). All responses will be treated as private and confidential. All information gathered will only be reported in an aggregated format.
