Allegro Development Corp., a leading provider of commodity management software, today announced that Noble Energy, Inc., a Houston-based oil and natural gas exploration and production company, completed its upgrade to Allegro Horizon.
Noble Energy sought to ensure its marketing team had productive, dependable and agile technology to manage change in an increasingly complex business environment. Allegro Horizon provided greater process efficiency and best-in-class usability and can be run on Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform, which aligned with Noble’s requirements.
Noble’s cloud-first strategy for technology upgrades and new deployments enables them to fully leverage the increased agility and efficiency of cloud technologies. The ability to effectively utilize the cloud was a key factor in determining the upgrade path.
To achieve the desired outcome, Noble Energy engaged its marketing team – whose members use Allegro’s software on a day-to-day basis – from the early phases of process design through completion of the upgrade to Horizon. “A big part of the project’s success was that it focused on the users,” said Tim Baumgart, Vice President at Noble Energy. “There was continuous involvement by the users as they had their hands in the project from the get-go.”
Gary Birdwell, Chief Information Officer, Noble Energy:
“Noble is deeply committed to success at all levels – users, executives and IT staff. As the project progressed, we adjusted when necessary to ensure we achieved the targeted outcomes. By establishing the right resources and access from the start, we efficiently managed any challenges to ensure a successful implementation of Horizon.”
Tim Baumgart, Vice President, Noble Energy:
“I’m proud of the accomplishment, and I’m equally proud that the implementation team worked together interactively and seamlessly. The upgrade provides us with a best-in-class software platform that serves our current and future needs.”
Frank Brienzi, Chief Executive Officer, Allegro Development:
“Allegro and Noble worked in close partnership throughout the upgrade to Horizon. This newest version of our software wouldn’t exist without the incredible work of the Allegro team, and seeing it come to life at Noble marks a fantastic accomplishment as we round out this unique journey. However, what’s most important here is that we have put a cloud-based, forward-compatible software system that is meant to enhance growth opportunities in Noble’s hands. Their success with Horizon will be the ultimate reward.”
